SOUTH SYDNEY INDUSTRIAL MARKETS IS TEMPORARILY CLOSED

South Sydney Industrial Markets apologises that Sunday 22nd May 2011 was the last market day as the City of Sydney Council intends to issue an order to “Cease Selling Goods”. Furthermore City of Sydney has stated that there is no public benefit from having an all-weather local market at the Corporate Park. The new city plan by council restricts certain types of retail development between Cleveland St and Gardeners Road to promote the Green Square Town Centre.

South Sydney Industrial Markets looks forward to resolving the City of Sydney Council’s issues and re-establishing better than ever. In the meantime we thank sincerely our stall holders, our performers and most importantly the local community for supporting us. South Sydney Industrial Markets will close after Sunday 22nd May 3pm until Green Square Township is Built.

The South Sydney Industrial Markets (SSiM) is all undercover located right behind Officeworks, Trivett & Harley Davidson showrooms on 75-85 O’Riordan Street, Alexandria.
